Shanghai is such a stunning city visually. As we were driven from the airport to our hotel I was amazed by the display of architecture. The Waldorf Astoria Shanghai lies on the Bund, offering spectacular views of the surrounding river and city.
I took these photographs between breakfast and lunch on the second day when a group of us took a walk along the Bund and back on the other side of the road. I really wish I had taken my DSLR on the visit but as it was my first flight I was very stressed about luggage restrictions and perhaps cut down a little too much, and so all my photographs are from a compact digital camera.
I already really miss the city where I had such a wonderful time. Being me I took a lot of photos and I can't wait to show you the rest, particularly of the ball itself!
